WELCOME TO JAPAN

I’ll apologise in advance if this article doesn’t sound quite right when you read it because Right now my brain feels a little mushy and English is hard because Japanese is harder. I have had close to no English communication for the last five days and been trying to improve my Japanese, which involves a lot of thinking, overthinking, getting it wrong, getting it right, frustration and success.

I have been in Japan for close to a week now and the time has been spent catching up with friends, exploring Tokyo and getting ready for the upcoming snow season. I have been so fortunate to be able to spend time with friends and families that have welcomed me into theirs over a decade ago, and every time I come to I get to see some of the best friends I have.

I’m going to be working in a location called Madarao for winter. Close to Hakuba and Nozawa-Onzen, the region is known for world class snow and culture.  Through our journey in Japan for the next six months, we will be doing a weekly vlog and establishing our online presence on YouTube, with highlights from the week, showcase some of our great new professional content, answer any questions you may have and continue to beat our way into the snow and photographic industry, making sure the world knowns when we arrive.

Please keep updated by checking our social media outlets (@liquidcollectiveau) and get in touch whenever you feel like!

Peace.

Josh
