Welcome to winter! We are back in the alpine, with this season’s experiences coming from Mt Hotham Alpine Resort in Victoria Australia, to instruct and hopefully spend a lot more time shooting, creating content and getting some media work lined up and spinning. The snow has been falling and looks like it will be a pretty good start to winter this year.

Guys, we are finally getting ourselves back up and running slowly after what seems like an eternity. If you have followed us for a while, you would have realised we were absent over the last 12 months from social media.

A few weeks ago, I went with a couple of friends to Ohau Ski Field - first time going to the place and didn’t really know what to expect from it as a small club field in the middle of Canterbury (not like what I am used to skiing in New Zealand), but there was no way I was going to be going anywhere without my camera, of course.

Hey there, it’s been a minute. If you were unaware, we are in New Zealand! And in lockdown. Level 4 lockdown started on Tuesday this week, and personally, I am fortunate enough that this is my first real experience of this throughout the last year and a half of COVID.

Late last year we teamed up with AMONITA SWIM - an emerging Brisbane-based swimwear company with big plans and a great range of stylish and modern swimwear.

This year, I am working on being accountable to myself and having a number of goals and targets that I am aiming to hit as 2021 progresses.

A few months ago in July, we wrote a post about the Epson International Pano Awards and how it was the first time we would be entering a few images into this prestigious panoramic landscape competition.

It’s been a while since we have written any content, apologies. Life went from zero to one hundred and back to zero really quickly over the last few months.

For the last few years, I have been planning to submit a few images to this competition, which in the world of landscape and panoramic photography, is a big deal. But for whatever reason (probably just being a lazy shit), I never got around to it.

Hi. Hey there. How are you? It’s been a while. Things have changed. Maybe for the better, for some of you. For others, it might have gotten worse. I get it. Shit is hard right now. And no one really knows what to do.

Probably not what you were expecting right? This is one of my absolute favourite photos I’ve ever taken. Wasn’t even taken on a professional camera, or even an entry level camera, I think my old iPhone 5s.

After looking back on photos and posts from this last year gone, and indeed, the years before that, it became absurdly apparent that I avoid posting any personal content and photos of myself.

If you’ve been following our content for a while, you’ll know that we travel. A lot. I was lucky and travelled domestically and internationally a few times with family trips and whilst at school.

In the age of social media we live in, all you have to do is open one of your many apps on your phone and you will see beautiful photos, hundreds of images of people you know, people you don’t.

Why is it that so many injuries in sport occur either doing something you’ve done hundreds if not thousands of times, or on something easy that you could perform with your eyes closed.

The Liquid Collective is proud to release our first Limited Edition image of 2019.

We had the pleasure last Sunday to collaborate with a few local artists and outfitters. There are stacks of great images we will be releasing over the next few weeks, but everyone involved was incredible to work with and you should definitely check out their work.

I don’t know one person who enjoys packing for international trips. I mean, yeah, you love the idea of packing and it’s exciting because you know this bag will take you to new adventures and bright, interesting places (as long as it arrives…), but then you start to pack.
