This was one of the best photos I took in this particular season in New Zealand. I had injured my hand badly and couldn’t do anything for fear and risk of completely and permanently damaging the ligaments, so it was a waiting game until they healed enough for rehabilitation. The wait drove me crazy, so a friend and I drove out of town to one of the nearby lakes so I could shoot.
