“This image was shot just a few days ago during a photograph session that was aimed at taking some of my boredom away from a current injury which is leaving me unable to snowboard for a month or so. It’s pretty special to be able to walk out of my backyard and have a landscape that holds so much depth and beauty right outside my door. Because of the timing of this shot and with the injury I’m currently rehabilitating from, the tonal shades of the image speak to me a little more personally, showing that something I love and something that makes me so happy to do can sometimes have a darker side that doesn’t show its face.
